Beach time in Houston

Houston’s location on the Gulf of Mexico makes it hot and humid in the summertime, and a good way to get away from the city is to head down to the beach with a charter bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coaches or school bus chartered from Bus Charter Houston. It is always best to head down to the beautiful beaches near Houston as a group, and with buses of every size from its fleet, Bus Charter Houston will get you and your group down by the beach in style.
When the hot, humid months of summer descend on Houston, many get away to the beaches of South Walton. This region of the coast boasts 26 miles of white sandy beaches, looking out over the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This stretch of coast shared between Florida and Texas is where you will find South Walton, with its 16 beach communities, giving visitors lots of opportunities for sport fishing and swimming almost all year round. There are rare coastal dune lakes to visit, maritime forests and large windswept dunes.
The various neighborhoods are what gives South Walton its character, and it is easy to pick one and go there for a visit or a longer stay with a charter bus from Bus Charter Houston. The various beach communities in South Walton are a reasonable drive away from Houston, and range in character from artsy to eclectic, worldly and cosmopolitan, to friendly and casual. One thing's for sure, as you get off your charter bus, you and your group will be assured of a warm welcome.
For a touch of childhood nostalgia, go to Miramar Beach. This beach brings back memories with long hot summer days on the beach, with surf shops and beachfront houses having decks overlooking the shore. Miramar Beach allows for beachfront camping, and has numerous modern amenities close by, including the Silver Sands Factory Stores, the nation’s largest designer outlet center.
South Walton got its start at Santa Rosa Beach, back in 1910. Today, Santa Rosa Beach is an upscale community of luxury beach houses, fine dining and a thriving arts community. Head over to Gulf Place in your charter bus, where you will find lots of entertainment, dining and arts to suit the entire family. For arguably the freshest seafood on the Gulf, dine at the Smiling Fish Cafe, or have a game of golf at Santa Rosa Golf Club.
For a quiet beach getaway, get in your charter bus and head over to Seacrest. Activities here are centered round the beach, and have a close to nature feel. Fishing and kayaking are popular activities in Seacrest, as are hiking and camping. A coastal dune lake allows visitors a look at a rare ecosystem, found in only a handful of places in the world.
When planning your next summer beach vacation, give Bus Charter Houston a call to find out how we can help you getaway to South Walton with our fleet of charter buses and our friendly, personalized service.

Toyota Center Houston

Ever since opening its doors to events, concerts and entertainment of all sorts in 2003, it has now become a primary location for multiple world-class entertainment venues in the nation; therefore, if you are ever here in Houston for a party bus group gathering, do look the place up, check their websites for more information and book a ticket for one of the amazing world class acts that could be happening during your charter bus visit.
Standing at a magnificent six blocks of buildings, needless to say, it is probably considered the NBA's Houston Rockets' players second home – grueling trainings and matches alike. Aside from being considered the top venue for sporting events, some of the nation's biggest concerts and shows that are on tour come perform at this center too. If that is not enough to convince you of its significant standing as one of the Houston's most important landmarks, it was the winner of the Allen Award for Civic Enhancements in 2003 and was also named as the best new concert venue by Pollstar Magazine.
Toyota Center is also known for being a keen participant in the green movement and have rolled out many green initiatives not known to sporting and entertainment arenas. We have museums that has gone green but sporting arena...they are, frankly, one of the pioneer and Houston folks love it! Their recycling of paper, cardboard, plastic, and aluminum is absolutely commendable, the soap, toilet paper and towels are EPA and Green Seal certified and that is only the tip of the iceberg. Employees are, in a way, forced to recycle and be mindful about wastage because waste bins have been removed from the premise and they regularly organize tree planting exercise around the premise every year. Even the Houston Rockets are roped in with the efforts by them participating by hosting the Environmental Awareness Game annually whereby patrons are given environmentally-friendly items and go ahead to educate and encourage more people to join in on their noble efforts.
So, whether you are going for a game or a concert, please do log into their website and book a ticket online so that YOU can be a part of their green effort too! And in the meantime, group charter bus rental vacations are far easier on the pocket and mind when you have a charter bus driver to deal with the driving, parking and traffic – and for that charter bus that you are looking for, you know Bus Charter Houston's got your back!
Enjoy the game!

The other side of Houston

There are a lot of things to see and do in Houston, especially when you have the luxury of renting a party bus, bus charter, mini bus or even if it's just a school bus for school-going kids. But, with so many people doing so many things and visiting so many places, going off the beaten path can be one of the best ways to see Houston, especially when traveling by bus.
One of the biggest events in Houston not popularized to tourists is the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Drawing top riders from across the country, this rodeo features traditional rodeo events, while national and international superstar musical entertainers perform nightly for sell-out crowds. Best part, it’s also home to the World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest and it remains to be a hot favorite among many bus charter rental tourist goers.
After you’ve had your fill of rough riders, pay a visit to Houston Glass Studio. Inspired by a passion for glass, Dick Moiel and Kathy Poeppel's this retired physician and his PA/RN wife enrolled in their first Glassblowing class in 1994 and have never looked back since and together with the invaluable help and guidance of their first instructor Bob Mosier, have built a basic hot shop that produces amazing pieces of glass art. If you want to make the most of your time here, it is best done with the help of a helpful party bus, charter bus, shuttle bus service, mini bus, coach charter or school bus driver.
For something a bit cooler and less fiery, pay a visit in the rented party bus to the Downtown Aquarium. This magnificent six-acre entertainment and dining complex features over 200 species of aquatic life from around the globe housed in a 500,000-gallon aquatic wonderland and has a full-service restaurant, an upscale bar, a fully equipped ballroom, aquatic & geographic exhibits, shopping and a variety of amusements!

If you prefer wild animals to being underwater then, perhaps you may prefer the Houston Zoo. Covering an expanse of 55 acres the zoo and is home to thousands of animals representing more than 500 species, from the winged inhabitants of the Tropical Bird House to the slithering reptiles in one of the nation's largest collections of venomous snakes.
If you prefer hanging out with your children instead of wild critters, Children’s Museum of Houston is just the place you should get Bus Charter Houston to drop you off at in a luxurious charter bus. Dubbed A Playground for your Mind™! The Children’s Museum of Houston is packed with 14 hands-on exhibits, including the chance for kids to program robots and invent things; anchor the news; run a business; get elected as mayor; explore nanotechnology and climb a three-story tower. Better still, let out your inner child and let your mind explore this fantastic playground and after that, you can have the full rest and relax thing going in the comforts of the chartered bus.
